Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 156L

Given:

The quantity of the mixture is 60 litres

Concept:

Mixture and allegation

Calculation:

Initially quantity of water in mixture

⇒ (2/5) × 60 = 24 liters

Initially quantity of milk in mixture

⇒ (3/5) × 60 = 36 liters

Let us assume we mix x lilters of water.

⇒ 36/(24 + x) = 1/5

⇒ 180 = 24 + x

⇒ x = 156 liters

∴ The required result will be 156 liters.
