Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 87.5

Given:

The first variety of sugar is 40 rupee per kg

The second variety of sugar is 50 rupee per kg

The final mixture cost 70 rupees per kg

Concept:

Mixture and allegation

Calculation:

⇒ Let we assume price of third variety of sugar is p rupee per kg

⇒ First, Second and third variety of sugar mixed x kg, 2x kg, and 4x kg respectively

⇒ 70 = [(40 × x) + (50 × 2x) + (p × 4x)]/(x + 2x + 4x)

⇒ p = 87.5 rupee per kg

∴ The required result will be 87.5 rupee per kg.
