Correct Answer - Option 1 : Both the statement are true.

Concept:

Sun-Dried or Unburnt Clay Bricks:

  • The Sun-dried or unburnt bricks are less durable and used for temporary or cheap structures.
  • There are mainly three steps for manufactures are clay, molding, and drying. After the molding process, the bricks are left for dried from direct sunlight.
  • The sun-dried bricks are not much strong and also less water and fire resistance. Hence, These should not be used at places exposed to heavy rains.
  • It is believed that first-time bricks were used, in the sun-dried form (unburnt Bricks), in Egypt some 6000 years ago.
