Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs 9640

Given:

The average salary of 50 workers = Rs. 4000

The average salary of 26 workers = Rs. 2400

The average salary of 17 workers = Rs. 4125

Formula used:

Average = Sum of the observation / Total number of observation

Calculation:

Total salary of 50 workers = 50 × 4000 = Rs. 200,000

⇒ Total salary of 26 workers = 26 × 2400 = Rs. 62400

⇒ Total salary of 17 workers = 17 × 4125 = Rs. 70,125

⇒ No. of remaining workers = 50 - 26 - 17 = 7

⇒ Total Salary of 7 workers = 200000 - 62400 - 70125 = 67475

⇒ Required average = 67475/7 = 9640 (approximately)

∴ The average salary of remaining workers is Rs. 9640 (value in approximate)
