Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs 17,790

Given:

Money distributed = 15%, 13%, 32%

Money spent = 20%, 25%, 15%

Calculation:

Let total money of Athena = 100k

Let money distributed to siblings be 15k, 13k and 32k

⇒ Total money to siblings = 15k + 13k + 32k

⇒ Total money to siblings = 60 k

⇒ Money spent by siblings = ((15 × 0.20) + (13 × 0.25) + (32 × 0.15)) k

⇒ Money spent by siblings = 11.05k

⇒ Remaining amount = 60k – 11.05k

⇒ Remaining amount = 48.95 k

⇒ 48.95k = 9790

⇒ k = 200

⇒ Total money left with Athena = 100k – 11.05k

⇒ Total money left with Athena = 88.95 × 200

∴ Total money left with Athena is Rs 17,790
