Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : 11 months

Given:

Sunil and Naveen invested some money in a business in the ratio = 11 : 12

Sunil invested the money for = 8 months

The profit was shared by Sunil and Naveen in the ratio = 2 : 3

Concept used:

The profit ratio always equal to the investment ratio.

Calculation:

Sunil and Naveen invested some money in a business in the ratio = 11 : 12

Sunil invested the money for = 8 months

Let the time Naveen invested for be y

∴ Required equation:

⇒ (11x × 8)/(12x × y) = 2/3

⇒ 88x × 3 = 12xy × 2

⇒ 88x = 8xy

⇒ y = 11 months

∴ Naveen invested the money for 11 months.
