Correct Answer - Option 3 : 18%

Given:

M.P. of pair of jeans = Rs. 1200

S.P. of pair of jeans = Rs. 984

Concept used:

D = M.P – S.P

D% = (D/M.P) × 100

Where,

D → Discount

M.P → Marked price

S.P → Selling price

D% → Discount%

Calculation:

M.P. of pair of jeans = Rs. 1200

S.P. of pair of jeans = Rs. 984

Discount = 1200 – 984 = Rs. 216

Discount% = (216/1200) × 100

⇒ 216/12 = 18%

∴ A discount of 18% was offered.
