Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 576

Given:

M.P. = Rs. 800

Successive discounts = 20% and 10%

Formula Used:

Equivalent discount when two successive discounts are given = a + b – (ab)/100

S.P = M.P × (100 – D%)/100

Calculation:

a = 20%

b = 10%

Discount = 20 + 10 – (20 × 10)/100

⇒ 30 – 2 = 28%

Selling Price = 800 × (72/100) = Rs. 576

∴ The selling price of the toy car is Rs. 576.
