  • Earthworm burrows increase soil porosity which increases the amount of air and water that get into the soil.
  • Increased porosity also lowers bulk density and increases root development.

This proves that the reason is true and that earthworms are considered good for agriculture.

Hence the assertion is false and the reason is true.
