In a bank PO examination, 70% of candidates passed in prelims, and 65% of candidates passed in mains. If 62% of candidates passed in both these levels, then what percent of candidates failed in both the exam levels?

Correct Answer - Option 2 : 27%

Calculation:

Students passed in bank PO prelims = 70%

Students passed in bank PO mains = 65%

Students passed in both = 62%

∴ number of students passed in at least one level = (70 + 65) – 62

⇒ 73%

∴ students failed in both levels = 100 – 73

⇒ 27%

 27% of candidates failed in both exam levels.
