w = 54

FORMULA USED:
Average = sum of observations/total no. of observations

CALCULATION:

x + y + z = 45 × 3 = 135      ----(1)

y + z + w = 52 × 3 = 156      ----(2)

From (1) - (2) we get,

x - w = - 21

x - 54 = -21

x = 33

∴ The value of x is 33
