Correct Answer - Option 3 : 19% (approx.)

Given

Shad uses 840 gm instead of 1 kg.

Formula Used

Error = Original weight – False weight

Profit% = [(Error)/(True weight – Error)] × 100

Calculation

Original weight = 1 kg = 1000 gm

False weight = 840 gm

Error = Original weight – False weight = (1000 – 840) gm = 160 gm

Gain% = [(160)/(1000 – 160)] × 100 = [(160)/840] × 100 = 19.0476% = 19% (approx.)

Shaad’s profit percentage is of 19%.
