Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 16,000

Given:

Ratio of Investment of A and B in the business = 4 : 1

Percentage of profit goes to charity = 50%

A’s share = Rs. 6400

Calculation:

Let the total Profit = Rs. 100

Remaining profit after paying charity = 100 - 50 = Rs. 50

A’s share after paying charity

⇒ 50 × (4/5) = Rs. 40

When A’s share is Rs. 40 then total profit is Rs. 100

When A’s share is Rs. 6400 then total profit,

⇒ 6400 × (100/40) = Rs. 16,000

∴ Total Profit is Rs. 16,000.
