Concept:

Step angle of a stepper motor can be given as

θs = 360 / S

S = m Nr

m = number of phases

Nr = number of rotor teeth or poles

Calculations:

Given

m = 8, Nr = 3 (multiploar)

θs = 360 / (8 × 3)

θs = 15°
