Correct Answer - Option 3 : 12 days

Solution:

Calculations:

Let total money be x.

X’s 1 day’s wages = x/21

Y’s 1 day’s wages = x/28

∴ (X + Y)’s 1 day’s wages = (x/21 + x/28)

⇒ (4x + 3x)/84

⇒ 7x/84

⇒ x/12

the total money is sufficient for 12 days.
