Correct Answer - Option 2 : 2200

Given:

P and Q save 400 each month

Concept:

Income = Saving + Expenditure

Calculation:

Let be assume income and expenditure of P is 6x, and 4y respectively, and income and expenditure of Q is 5x and 3y respectively.

⇒ 6x - 4y = 5x - 3y  (because saving is same 400)

⇒ x = y,

⇒ 6x - 4x = 400, x = 200

⇒ Sum of their monthly income = 6x + 5x = 11x

⇒ 11 × 200 = 2200

∴ The required result will be 2200.
