Humayun's Tomb - Delhi :

  • Humayun's tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India.
  • The tomb was commissioned by Humayun Bega Begum (also known as Haji Begum), in 1558.
  • It was designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad.
  • It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and is located in Nizamuddin East, Delhi, India, close to the Dina-Panah Citadel, also known as Purana Qila (Old Fort), that Humayun found in 1533.
  • The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, and since then has undergone extensive restoration work, which is complete.

Bara Imambara - Lucknow :

  • Bara Imambara is also known as Asfi Mosque.
  • It is located in Lucknow, India.
  • It was built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh in 1784
  • The building also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a stepwell with running water. Two imposing gateways lead to the main hall.
  • It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace but only two to come back first gate or the last gate.
  • It is an accidental architecture.

Nishat Bagh - Jammu and Kashmir :

  • Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake, close to Srinagar in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
  • It is the largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley.
  • Shalimar Bagh is located on the bank of Dal Lake.
  • ‘Nishat Bagh’ is Urdu, and means the "Garden of Joy," "Garden of Gladness" and "Garden of Delight".
  • The Bagh was designed and built-in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jehan.

Feroz shah Kotla - Delhi :

  • The Feroz Shah Kotla or Kotla was a fortress built by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq to house his version of Delhi city called Ferozabad.
  • The original inscription on the obelisk is primarily in Brahmi script but the language was Prakrit, with some Pali and Sanskrit added later.
  • The inscription was successfully translated in 1837 by James Prinsep.
