Sarojini Naidu

  • In 1932, she took part in the Non-Cooperation Movement and was arrested for breaking the Salt Act.

Mithuben Petit
  • Mithuben Hormusji Petit was one of the women's pioneer Indian independence activists.
  • She also participated in Mahatma Gandhi's Dandi March.
  • She set up an ashram in Maroli called 'Kasturba Vanat Shala' which taught underprivileged children from families of Adivasis, Harijans, and other poor families.
