Correct Answer - Option 3 : 36.25

Given:

Weight of sugar = 60 kg

Cost price of sugar = Rs. 25/kg

Concept Used:

Selling price = Cost price + Profit

Calculations:

Total cost price = 60 × 25

⇒ 1500

60% of the total quantity sold at Rs. 30/kg

60% of 60 = 60 × 60/100

⇒ 36 kg

Selling price of 36 kg = 36 × 30

⇒ 1080

Remaining quantity = 60 - 36

⇒ 24

Over all 30% profit

⇒ Overall selling price = 1500 × (100 + 30)/100 = 1950

Vendor have to sell the product at Rs.1950

Remaing sugar have to sell at Rs. (1950 - 1080) = 870

⇒Selling price of 24 kg sugar = 870

Selling price of 1 kg sugar = 870/24

⇒ 36.25

∴ The remaining sugar has to sell at Rs. 36.25
