Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs.10,000

Given:

Investment of A, B and C are Rs.4000Rs.8000 and Rs.12000 respectively

Total profit they got after 1 year = Rs.12,000

Concept used:

Profit is directly proportional to product of amount invested and time period of investment

Calculation:

Profit ratio of A : B : C = Rs. 4000 : Rs. 8000 : Rs. 12,000

⇒ 1 : 2 : 3

Total profit = (1 + 2 + 3) units

⇒ 6 units

Profit of B and C together = (2 + 3) units

⇒ 5 units

According to the question,

6 units = Rs. 12,000

⇒ 5 units = Rs. (12,000/6) × 5

⇒ Rs. 10,000

∴ The profit of B and C together is Rs. 10,000
