Correct Answer - Option 4 : 16.42% Profit

Given:

Arnab sells at 22% loss

Arnab uses 33% less weight

Formula Used:

Selling price = Cost price × (100 - loss%)/100

Profit = SP - CP

Profit % = (Profit/CP) × 100

Calculation:

Arnab uses 33% less weight

Instead of 100 grams he gives only 67 grams

Let the cost price of 100 grams be Rs. 100

Cost price of 67 grams = Rs. (67/100) × 100

⇒ Rs. 67

He sells his goods at 22% loss

Selling price of 67 grams = Cost price × (100 - loss%)/100

⇒ 100 × (100 - 22)/100

⇒ Rs. 78

Profit = SP - CP

 ⇒ 78 - 67

⇒ Rs. 11

Profit % = (Profit/CP) × 100

⇒ (11/67) × 100

⇒ 16.42%

∴ Actual profit percent of Arnab is 16.42%.
