Correct Answer - Option 1 :    30

Given:

Length of train = 218m

speed of train = 60kmph = 60 × 5/18 = 50/3 m/s

Length of the platform = 282 m

Concept Used:

Time taken to cross a platform = (length of train + length of the platform)/speed of the train

Calculation:

Time required = (218 + 282)/(50/3) = 30 seconds

∴ In 30 second the train will cross the platform of length 282m.
