Correct Answer - Option 1 : Decrement 2.5%

Given:

Number increased = 30%

Number decreased = 25%

Formula Used:

Net increase/decrease  = Increase% – Decrease% - (Increase %× Decrease%)/100

Calculation:

Net increase/decrease  = Increase% – Decrease% - (Increase %× Decrease%)/100

⇒ 30 – 25 – (30 × 25)/100

⇒ 5 – 7.5

⇒ - 2.5%

∴ Net decrement 2.5%

The correct option is 1 i.e. Decrement 2.5%.
