Correct Answer - Option 1 : 4 hrs

Given:

Speed of Julie = 2.5 km/hr

Speed of Sarita = 2 km/hr

Distance between them = 18 km

Concept used:

Relative speed when two persons travels with speed of x km/hr and y km/hr in opposite direction is (x + y) km/hr.

Time = Distance/Speed

Calculation:

Relative speed = 2.5 + 2 = 4.5 km/hr

Time = Distance/Relative speed

⇒ Time = 18/4.5

⇒ Time = 4 hours

∴ Time will be 4 hours
