Correct Answer - Option 4 : Tomb of Ghaus Mohammed

The correct answer is Tomb of Ghaus Mohammed.

  • The sandstone mausoleum of the Afghan prince, Ghaus Mohammed, is also designed on early Mughal lines.
    • Particularly exquisite are the screens which use the pierced stone technique as delicate as lace. It is on the way to Gwalior fort near Hazira from Railway Station.

  • This tomb was constructed as the resting place in honour of Mohammad Ghaus, the Sufi saint, advisor to the Mughal Emperor Akbar and music teacher to Tansen, whose tomb is also here.
    • The building walls are beautifully crafted of fine latticework, while the building is a fine example of Mughal architecture. One of the best things to see in Gwalior.
  • This park (free-entry) houses the large domed tomb of Ghaus Mohammed along with the tomb of Tansen - the famous musician of the 1500s who composed ragas that are considered to be the pinnacle of Indian classical music.
