Formula Used : 

Speed = distance / time

Calculations:

Let the distance traveled by Sonu and Amit be D_S and D_A respectively.

D_A  = ( speed × time )_A = 7.5 × 2 = 15 km

D_S  = ( speed × time )_S = 4 × 2 = 8 km

On applying Pythagoras theorem

Distance between Amit and Sonu = √(152 + 82)

⇒ Distance between Amit and Sonu =  √(15² + 8²)

⇒ Distance between Amit and Sonu = 17 km

∴ The distance between them after 2 hours is 17 km.
