  • Hkakabo Razi is the highest mountain of Myanmar and probably the highest mountain in South East Asia with a height of 5,881 metres.

  • It is located in Kachin, the northernmost state of Myanmar.
  • It was recognized as a natural reserve on January 30, 1996, and as a national park on November 10, 1998. 
  • The peak is encircled within Khakaborazi National Park and is entirely mountainous.
  • It includes a variety of forest types such as Subtropical evergreen forest at lower elevations, temperate evergreen forest, mixed deciduous forest and snow-capped alpine peaks at the highest elevations.
