Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rakhigarhi - Punjab

The Correct Answer is Rakhigarhi - Punjab.

  • Rakhigarhi is a village located 150 kilometres northwest of Delhi, in the Hisar District in the state of Haryana in India.
  • It is the site of a settlement of the pre-Indus Valley Civilization dated back to around 6500 BCE.
  • Later, it was also part of the advanced civilization of the Indus Valley, dating from 2600-1900 BCE. The site is situated about 27 km from the seasonal Ghaggar River in the Ghaggar-Hakra River plain.

  •  Lothal, situated in the Bhāl district of the present state of Gujarāt, was one of the southernmost towns of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. The town's development started around 2200 BCE. Discovered in 1954, Lothal was excavated by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), the official Indian government department for the protection of ancient monuments, from 13 February 1955 to 19 May 1960.
  • Kalibangān is a town on the left or southern bank of the Ghaggar River in Tehsil Pilibangān, 205 km between Suratgarh and Hanumangarh in Hanumangarh District, Rajasthan.
  • Alamgirpur is an archaeological site of the civilization of the Indus Valley that thrived from the Harappan-Bara period along the Yamuna River (c. 3300-1300 BC), situated in the Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh.
