Correct Answer - Option 1 : 25

Given:

Let number of apples in the basket be N.

Number of oranges in the basket = N - 5

Total number of fruits in the basket = N + N - 5 = 2N - 5

Total price of apples in the basket = N × 30 = Rs.30N

Total price of oranges in the basket = (N - 5) × 20 = Rs.(20N - 100)

Total price of fruits in a basket = (2N - 5) × 26 = Rs.(52N - 130)

⇒ 52N - 130 = 30N + 20N - 100

⇒ N = 15

⇒ 2N - 5 = 2 × 15 - 5 = 25

∴ Total number of fruits in the basket = 25
