Given:

Average rainfall on 5 days of a week = 25.5 mm

Rainfall on 6th and 7th day = 43.5 mm and 37.5 mm respectively

Formula Used:

Average rainfall = Total rainfall/no. of days

Calculation:

Sum of rainfall on 5 days = 5 × 25.5

⇒ 127.5

Sum of rainfall of whole week = 127.5 + 43.5 + 37.5

⇒ 208.5

Average rainfall for week = 208.5/7

⇒ 29.7857 ≈ 29.78

∴ The average rainfall for week is 29.78 mm
