Given:

Average of four consecutive even numbers = (1/4) × sum of all

Concept used:

Average = (sum of elements)/(number of elements)

Calculation:

Let the four consecutive even numbers be x, x + 2, x + 4, x + 6.

The difference between first and last numbers = x + 6 - x = 6

∴ The required difference is 6.
