Correct Answer - Option 2 : 20

Initially, there were two couples with one child each in the room.

Implies,

3 + 3 = 6 people

Then, an old man and woman entered the room. So, now there are 8 people in the room.

Then, three couples with two children each entered the room.

4 + 4 + 4 = 12 people

Total persons = 12 + 8 = 20 people

Hence, there are 20 people in the room.
