Correct Answer - Option 2 : ÷ and -

Given equation : 42 ÷ 23 + 870 × 3 - 5 = 541

Checking with the options

option 1) + and ×

42 ÷ 23 × 870 + 3 - 5

= 1.826 × 870 + 3 - 5

= 1588.62 + 3 - 5

= 1586.62

option 2) ÷ and -

42 - 23 + 870 × 3 ÷ 5

= 42 - 23 + 870 × 0.6

= 42 - 23 + 522

= 541

option 3) × and ÷

42 × 23 + 870 ÷ 3 - 5

= 42 × 23 + 290 - 5

= 966 + 290 - 5

= 1251

option 4) + and -

42 ÷ 23 - 870 × 3 + 5

= 1.83 - 2610 + 5

= - 2603.17

Hence, the answer is ÷ and -

Don't do the whole calculation starting from option 1.

Focus on the division part first, those which give integer then proceed further.
