The learner can learn by themselves with the guidance of seniors and interacting with the environment but the curiosity and zeal to learn is the reason for learning takes place.

Emotional Characteristics

The cognitive characteristics of learners can be described as memory, mental pressure, solve problems, intellectual skill, remembers, organizes, and store information in the brain.

  • Examples of cognitive characteristics are  Encouraging discussions. Helping students explore and understand how ideas are connected. justify and explain their thinking. Using visualizations to improve understanding, recall and reflect.

Emotional characteristics include self-image (also feelings of self-efficacy and agency), mood, etc.

  • Examples of emotional characteristics are group structure, self-image in groups, place of the individual within a group, sociability, and stability.

Academic Characteristics

Social Characteristics

Academic characteristics include education type, knowledge, and education level.

  • Examples of academic characteristics are such as learning goals (of an individual or a group), prior knowledge, educational type, and educational level

Social characteristics relate to the group or the individual to the group.

  • Examples of social characteristics are group structure, place of the individual within a group, sociability, emotional balance with relationships.

The social and emotional characteristics are interlinked that can't be segregated totally.
