Correct Answer - Option 1 : 24 ∶ 30 ∶ 35

Given

a ∶ b = 4 ∶ 5

b ∶ c = 6 ∶ 7

Calculation

Writing the ratios in fraction form we get,

a/b = 4/5      ____(1)

and b/c = 6/7      _____(2)

On multiplying equation (1) and (2) we get,

(a × b)/(b × c) = (4 × 6)/(5 × 7)

⇒ a/c = 24/35      _____(3)

∴ When a = 24, c = 35

To make a = 24 in equation (1), multiply numerator and denominator by 6

a/b = 24/30      _____(4)

From equation (3) and (4),

When a = 24, b = 30 and c = 35

∴ a : b : c = 24 : 30 : 35
