Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : 80 grams

Given:

Weight of diamond = 150 grams

The ratio of the weight of two pieces = 8 : 5

Weight of the third piece = 20 grams

Concept used:

Total weight = Weight of first piece + Weight of second piece + Weight of third piece

Calculation:

Let the weight of the first piece be 8x

Let the weight of the second piece be 5x

150 = 8x + 5x + 20

⇒ 13x = 130

⇒ x = 10

Weight of the first piece = 8 × 10 = 80

The weight of the first piece is 80 grams.
