Correct Answer - Option 3 : 8829 N/m2

Concepts:

Pressure at a depth 'h' from free surface is:

P = ρgh

Calculation:

Given:

Soil = 0.9, ρoil = 900 kg/m3, hoil = 1 m, hwater = 2 m

P = ρoil × g × hoil

∴ 0.9 × 1000 × 9.81 × 1 = 8829 N/m2
