Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 36,000,  Rs. 12,000

Given:

A’s share : B’s share = (A’s investment : B’s investment) = 24000 : 8000 = 3 : 1

Calculation:

Let be A’s share = 3x and B's share = 1x

According to the question

3x + x = 48000
⇒ 4x = 48000
⇒ x = 12000

Put the value of x in A & B
Share of B = Rs. 12000

Share of A = 3x = 3 × 12000 = Rs. 36000.
∴ Share of A  and B is  Rs. 36,000 &  Rs. 12,000.
