Correct Answer - Option 3 : Nirbana

Nirvana: Nirvana is a concept in Indian religions (BuddhismHinduismJainism, and Sikhism) that represents the ultimate state of soteriological release, the liberation from repeated rebirth in samsara (in Buddhism it is a cycle of repeated birth, existence, and dying.)

Chaturashram: Chaturashrama or Four Ashramas is part of the ancient Indian concept which identified four stages of human life, with distinct differences based on natural human needs and drives.

STAGES CHATURASHRAMS AGE
Stage I Brahmacharya 25 years
Stage II Grihastha 50 years
Stage III Vanaprastha 74 years
Stage IV Sannyasa Complete renunciation

Hence, the correct answer is Nirvana.

  • Brahmacharya ashram: Brahmacharya is a divine world. It is the sum and substance of Yoga. Brahmacharya is the Achara or conduct by which one attains or reaches god. It is a movement towards God or the Atman (self).
  • Grihastha ashram: The Sanskrit word Grihastha is a composite of two root words Grih and Astha. Grih means "home, family, house", while Asth means "devoted to", occupied with being in". It embodies a married life with the duties of maintaining a home, family, raising children, their education, and leading a social life.
  • Vanaprastha Ashram: It means "retiring to the forest". It refers to handing over all the household duties and responsibilities to the next generation, take an advisory role, gradually withdraw from the world and go to the forest. He must do penance to purify his body and soul and devote himself to meditation.
  • Sannyasa: It means to put down everything. In the last ashram of life, the person enters at the age of 75 years. He breaks all attachments with the world by giving away all property and world, takes on a saffron robe and in some sects goes naked with a bowl and stick, and devotes his time to meditation to reorganize the subtle nature of the supreme soul and seek Moksha.
