Correct Answer - Option 1 : 10.8

The correct answer is 10.8.

  • Relative density of silver is 10.8. The density of water is 10kg m3.

  •  Silver weighs 10.8 grams per cubic centimeter or 10,800 kilogram per cubic meter, i.e. density of silver is equal to 10 800 kg/m³; at 15°C (59°F or 288.15K) at standard atmospheric pressure.

  • Relative density can be calculated directly by measuring the density of a sample and dividing it by the (known) density of the reference substance.
  • The density of the sample is simply its mass divided by its volume.
  • The volume of the object is the new volume minus the initial volume.
  • Once the mass and volume of the silver is determined, the density of the silver can be calculated by dividing the mass by the volume.
