Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs1250 loss

GIVEN:

SP = Rs2550

discount = 15%

loss = 40%

EXPLANATION:

let the marked price of article be x

discount = 15%

SP = 85% of x

\(85\% \space of\space x=2550 \\x=Rs3000 \\SP =60\%\space of \space CP \\CP=\frac{100}{60}\times2550=Rs 4250 \\loss\space without\space discount =4250-3000=Rs1250\)
