Correct Answer - Option 3 : 100

Given:

Cost price of table and chair = Rs. 500

Total profit = Rs.60

Formula Used:

Profit% = Profit/CP × 100

Loss% = Profit/CP × 100

Calculation:

Total selling price = Rs. (500 + 60) = Rs. 560

Let the CP of table and chair are ‘x’ and ‘y’ respectively.

According to question

CP of table + CP of chair = total CP

⇒ x + y = 500      ----eq.1

SP of table + SP chair = total SP

⇒ 110% of x + 115% of y = 560

⇒ 110x + 115y = 56000      ----eq.2

From eq.1 and eq.2 we get,

X = 300 and y = 200

CP of table = Rs. 300 and CP of chair = Rs. 200

Difference between CP of table and chair = Rs. (300 – 200) = Rs.100

∴ Difference between CP of table and chair is Rs. 100
