Correct Answer - Option 2 : 780

Given:

The ratio of prices of A and B = 6 ∶ 11

The ratio of prices of C and D = 30 ∶ 17

The price of C = 1600 + the price of B

The price of D = 1717

Formula:

If the ratio of A and B is a ∶ b, assume A = ak and B = bk where k is a constant.

Calculation:

Let the price of A and B be 6x and 11x respectively.

The price of C = 11x + 1600

The ratio of C and D = 30/17

⇒ (11x + 1600)/(1717) = 30/17

⇒ x = 130

The price of A = 6x

⇒ 6 × 130 = 780

The price of A is 780.
