Correct Answer - Option 2 : \(\frac{41}{{29}}\)

Given:

\(\sin θ - \cos θ = \frac{1}{{29}}\)

Formula used:

Sin2θ + Cos2θ = 1

Calculation:

Sinθ – Cosθ = 1/29

⇒ (Sinθ – Cosθ)2 = (1/29)2

⇒ Sin2θ + Cos2θ – 2SinθCosθ = 1/841

⇒ 1 – 2SinθCosθ = 1/841

⇒ 1 – 1/841 = 2SinθCosθ

⇒ 840/841 = 2SinθCosθ

(Sinθ + Cosθ)2

⇒ Sin2θ + Cos2θ + 2SinθCosθ

⇒ 1 + 840/841

⇒ {(841 + 840)/841}

⇒ 1681/841

⇒ 41/29

∴  The value of sinθ + cosθ is 41/29
