Correct Answer - Option 2 : 14 and 18, + and ×

1) 14 and 18, + and –

Given expression: 16 × 18 + 2 - 14 ÷ 3 = 38

After replacing the numbers and symbols, we get:

16 × 14 – 2 + 18 ÷ 3 = 38

=> 224 – 2 + 6 = 38

=> 230 – 2 = 38

=> 228 ≠ 38

2) 14 and 18, + and ×

Given expression: 16 × 18 + 2 - 14 ÷ 3 = 38

After replacing the numbers and symbols, we get:

16 + 14 × 2 - 18 ÷ 3 = 38

=> 16 + 28 – 6 = 38

=> 44 – 6 = 38

=> 38 = 38

3) 16 and 3, - and ÷

Given expression: 16 × 18 + 2 - 14 ÷ 3 = 38

After replacing the numbers and symbols, we get:

3 × 18 + 2 ÷ 14 - 16 = 38

=> 54 + 0.14 – 16 = 38

=> 54.15 – 16 = 38

=> 38.15 ≠ 38

4) 16 and 14, - and ×

Given expression: 16 × 18 + 2 - 14 ÷ 3 = 38

After replacing the numbers and symbols, we get:

14 - 18 + 2 × 16 ÷ 3 = 38

=> 14 – 18 + 10.67 = 38

=> 24.67 – 18 = 38

=> 6.67 ≠ 38

 Hence, ‘14 and 18, + and ×’ is the correct answer.
