Correct Answer - Option 1 : 128/3 days

Given:

12 men complete one-fourth of a piece of work in 10 days, working 8 hours a day.

Concept used:

M1 × D1 × H1/W1 = M2 × D2 × H2/W2

Where,

M → Number of men,

D → Number of days,

H → Number of hours,

W → Work

Calculation:

M1 × D1 × H1/W1 = M2 × D2 × H2/W2

⇒ 12 × 10 × 8/(1/4) = 15 × D2 × 6/1

⇒ D2 = (12 × 10 × 8 × 4)/(15 × 6)

⇒ D2 = 128/3 days

∴ 15 men would complete full piece of work in 128/3 days when they work 6 hours a day.
