Feni River:

  • Feni river originates in the south Tripura district in India.
  • It then flows through Bangladesh and ultimately drains into the Bay of Bengal. So, it has direct confluence with the Bay of Bengal.
  • The sharing of river water has been a matter of dispute between the two countries.
  • India has also signed an MoU with Bangladesh to withdraw water from this river to supply the water to the Sabroom district in Tripura.

  • The Maitre Setu Bridge built over Feni river is said to be operationalized in a few months.
  • It is a 1.9 km long Bridge that connects South Tripura with Ramgarh in Bangladesh.

  • Area: Longtharai, Amarpur, Gandachara, Udaipur, Sonamura.
  • Flow towards: West up to Bangladesh.
  • Length: 133 Km.

Haora:

  • Area: Baramura range, Agartala.
  • Flow towards: West up to Bangladesh.
  • Length: 53 km.

Juri:

  • Area: Jampui Hill, Dharmanagar Valley.
  • Flow towards: North.
  • Length: 79 Km.

Khowai:

  • Area: Longtharai range, Khowai, Amarpur.
  • Flow towards: North-west to Bangladesh.
  • Length: 166 km.

Longai:

  • Area: Jampui Hill, Dharmanagar.
  • Flow towards: North.
  • Length: 98 km long.

Manu:
