Given:

Formula:

Average of n numbers a1, a2 ... an = (a1 + a2 + ... an)/n

Calculation:

Total marks of Rohit in 1^st two test = 146

Test₁ + test₂ = 146

Suppose he scored x marks in test 2 then in test 3 he will score x + 2

If he scores x marks in test 2 then in test 1 = 146 – x

Average number of marks of Rohit in 1^st and 3^rd test = 146 – x + x + 2 = 148/2 = 74
