Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : 8.33%

Formula used:

Percentage change = [(Final value – Initial value)/Initial value] × 100

Calculation:

The number of candidates admitted in civil Engineering discipline in 2015 = 1980

The number of candidates admitted in civil Engineering discipline in 2016 = 1815

The decrease in the number of candidates = 1980 – 1815 = 165

Percentage decrease = 165/1980 × 100 = 8.33%

∴ The required percentage decrease is 8.33%
