Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : x > y
Calculation:

I. 6x2 – 19x + 14 = 0

⇒ 6x2 – 12x – 7x + 14 = 0

⇒ 6x(x – 2) – 7(x – 2) = 0

⇒ (x – 2)(6x – 7) = 0

x = 2, 7/6

II. y2 + 14y + 48 = 0

⇒ y2 + 6y + 8y + 48 = 0

⇒ y(y + 6) + 8(y + 6) = 0

⇒ (y + 6)(y + 8) = 0

y = – 6, – 8
